Lets Talk About Trash

Dealing with trash is one of the most challenging aspects of running a remote resort. Starting in 2021 we expect all guests to help us lessen our impact on the environment. As we have done for several years we will continue to ask you to separate your trash. Daily we will remove your organic waste. These will be composted at an off-site location. Also, daily we will remove your paper burnable products. We ask that you rinse your metal cans, plastic bottles and containers, and glass bottles and jars and BRING THEM HOME WITH YOU. Please pack in such a way that you have a tote durable enough to bring these recyclables on your trip home. Let us all work together to ensure our forests remain pristine for generations to enjoy. Should you require a container for your recycling pre-departure please ask us, we will surely be able to find something suitable for you to use. Guests who do not respect this policy will face a $100.00 fee to help us cover the costs of transporting your recyclables to a facility in town.

We know we do not need to say this, but PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE TRASH ANYWHERE IN THE FOREST OR ALONG THE LAKE SHORE. AND NEVER, EVER, DUMP TRASH INTO OUR LAKE.
